Mary Knapke
and the Ron Meyer Combo

I'm Mary Knapke and I have been a performer for many years, both in Ohio and in North Carolina. I love the "torch" songs, such as "Blues in the Night." My group and I do lots of jazz, some swing, some big band styles, as well. Recent gigs have been at Blind Bob's in the Oregon District, Women In Jazz 2008 in Dayton, South Park Jazz Festival in Dayton and the Dayton International Airport. We can do a show with 1) piano and vocals, 2) piano, bass, drums and vocals, or 3) piano, bass, drums, vocals and sax. My pianist is Ron Meyer, who is an exceptional talent and well known in the area. He has played for such greats as Diahann Carroll, Lou Rawls, and many others.

BigBandBabe- Mary Knapke Mary has performed with many area big bands and civic bands in the Miami Valley, as well as in the Greenville, Dayton and Columbus areas. She is a regular with the Sidney Civic Band, the Greenville Municipal Band, Westerville Concert Band, and currently is lead singer with the Swing Era Big Band.
